EFICEF (Cefizime Trihydrate) USP

Eficef is used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections. This medication is known as a cephalosporin antibiotic. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. Cefixime treats infections of the:
Otitis caused by Haemophilus influenzae, Moraxella catarrhalis and Streptococcus pyogenes. Sinusitis, tonsillitis, pharyngitis caused by Streptococcus pyogenes. Chest and lungs: Bronchitis, pneumonia caused by Streptococcus pneumonia and Haemophilus influenzae.It is also used to treat typhoid fever.
